Four days in the Toyota Sienta Hybrid cost 300 EUR at 75 EUR a day, while the Nissan Serena, with eight seats, costs 320 EUR at 80 EUR a day. Add 60 EUR if you choose the waiver and 20 EUR for a Paphos Airport pick-up between 09:00 and 17:30. With both, four days come to 380 EUR in the Sienta Hybrid or 400 EUR in the Serena, and the 300 EUR deposit is taken at the desk and returned with the car.

Ask for seven or eight seats
No car is set aside for your group until we reply yesPrices in the list are for a single day. Longer hires cost less per day.You pay at the desk on the day, in cash or by card, and the 300 EUR deposit taken there is returned once the car is back.
Call +357 99 173 142 or use the form. At the desk we speak English and Russian.
Both cars leave from our Paphos office and Paphos-area points and reach Larnaca, Nicosia and Ayia Napa by delivery. Limassol has its own seven-seater.
Before you pick a car for the group
- Excess 300 EUR once you add the 15 EUR a day waiver
- Deposit 300 EUR, card or cash, handed back at return
- Paphos cars under 5 days: 200 km a day. From 5 days: unlimited
- Collect it with a full tank, bring it back full

- The car ends its hire in the town it started
Pick a 7 seater or an 8 seater
The whole bill for four days or a week
Four days in the Sienta Hybrid come to 380 EUR and four in the Serena to 400 EUR, counting the optional waiver and a Paphos Airport pick-up between 09:00 and 17:30. The 300 EUR deposit is not in that total; we take it at the desk and hand it back with the car.
| Line | Sienta Hybrid, 4 days | Serena, 4 days | Sienta Hybrid, 7 days | Serena, 7 days |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hire, at the rate for that length | 4 x 75 = 300 | 4 x 80 = 320 | 7 x 65 = 455 | 7 x 75 = 525 |
| Distance allowance | 200 a day included | 200 a day included | unlimited, included | unlimited, included |
| Unlimited distance, optional under 5 days | 80 | 80 | not needed | not needed |
| Optional waiver, 15 EUR a day | 60 | 60 | 105 | 105 |
| Airport pick-up, 09:00 to 17:30 | 20 | 20 | 0 | 0 |
| Airport drop-off, 09:00 to 17:30 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| Second driver and child seats | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| Total with the waiver, unlimited km left out | 380 | 400 | 560 | 630 |
| Deposit, taken at pick-up and returned | 300 | 300 | 300 | 300 |
A week costs less per day because seven days fall in the 7 to 29 day band, where the Sienta Hybrid is 65 EUR and the Serena 75 EUR. From five days the kilometres are unlimited, so the 20 EUR daily option falls away. An airport pick-up inside the fee window is also free, which puts two lines in those columns at zero.
Only the deposit line comes back to you. The deposit and the excess are separate sums of 300 EUR each. We take the deposit at the desk and return it with the car. The excess is the most you would pay towards eligible bodywork damage once the waiver is bought.
Every figure above comes from our own rate card, and how we check our prices sets out when each one was read.
Day rates for seven and eight seats, by length of hire
The Sienta Hybrid costs 110 EUR for one day, 85 a day for two, 75 a day from three to six and 65 a day from seven to 29. The Serena runs 120, 90, 80 and 75. The full length of the hire picks the band, and every day is charged at it.
| Car | Seats | 1 day | 2 days | 3 to 6 days | 7 to 29 days |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Toyota Sienta Hybrid | 7 | 110 | 85 | 75 | 65 |
| Nissan Serena | 8 | 120 | 90 | 80 | 75 |
Ten days in the Serena land in the 7 to 29 day band, so 10 x 75 = 750 EUR. Three days in the Sienta Hybrid fall in the 3 to 6 day band: 3 x 75 = 225 EUR.
At 30 days or more a hire moves onto our long-term card, which carries its own prices. The Limassol seven-seater sits on a separate card with a two-day minimum, so a single day there is not possible; see below for its figures.
The same two cars sit beside our five-seat models on our Cyprus car hire overview, if a smaller car plus a second one suits the group better.
Pick a 7 seater or an 8 seater
Each card opens a request for that car alone. Choose one, add your dates and the size of your party, and we reply with what those days cost.
These are studio pictures, not photographs of our own cars. The car handed over may be a different unit or a different colour.
Cargo, nine seats and a driver are outside our range
We hire nothing for goods, furniture or chilled stock, and nothing that seats nine or more. What we do hire is two passenger cars, with seven and eight seats, that you drive yourself, plus a seven-seat Nissan Serena Hybrid in Limassol.
We do not hire
- A van for loads, house moves or refrigerated goods
- Anything priced by payload in kg or by load volume
- A vehicle with nine seats or more
- A minibus with a driver, or an airport transfer
- A Ford Transit, a Toyota Hiace or anything like them
We do hire
- The Toyota Sienta Hybrid (7 seats) and the Nissan Serena (8 seats) from Paphos, both automatic, passenger seats only
- A Nissan Serena Hybrid with seven seats from our Limassol office
Hertz Cyprus, read on 4 August 2026, sorts its van range into four groups by payload, from 570 kg to 1,420 kg, and prints no seat count at all. If payload is the number you are comparing, you want commercial vehicle hire, and that is a trade we are not in.
Nine people or more will not travel in one of our cars. The practical answers are two cars with two drivers, or a transfer company that supplies a vehicle and someone to drive it. You can ask for the Sienta Hybrid and the Serena together in a single request.
Count heads and cases before choosing the car
Six people or fewer fit either car with room to spare, seven fill the Sienta Hybrid exactly, and eight fill the Serena. Check luggage with us before you choose.
| People, driver included | Sienta Hybrid, 7 seats | Serena, 8 seats |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 6 | Fits, one seat or more free | Fits, two seats or more free |
| 7 | Every seat used | Fits, one seat free |
| 8 | Too many | Every seat used |
| 9 or more | Too many | Too many: two cars |
With every seat taken, luggage space is the limit, and we hold no written boot figure for either car. Send us the number of people and the number of large cases, and we will tell you which car suits, or suggest two cars.
Child seats and a second driver cost nothing, whatever the length of the hire. A driver aged 21 or over pays no young-driver charge in either of these two, so a party whose main driver is 22 pays the printed rate.
Both are automatic, and the Sienta is a hybrid. The gearbox adds nothing to the price because every car we hire is an automatic.
Why an ordinary car licence covers both
Both of our multi-seat cars sit inside category B, the ordinary car licence, on either official source we read on 30 September 2026. The Road Transport Department starts its minibus category at 9 seats; the EU directive draws the line at the driver plus eight passengers. The Sienta Hybrid has seven seats and the Serena eight, so neither comes near it.
The Road Transport Department's licence-category form, ΈΝΤΥΠΟ Τ.Ο.Μ. 180 dated 15 April 2016, places vehicles of up to 3,500 kg gross weight in category B. A note on the same form gives the minibus category, Δ1 or D1, as covering vehicles of 9 to 16 seats. Our two cars sit at seven and eight.
The EU driving-licence directive, 2006/126/EC, draws its line in Article 4 by counting passengers rather than seats. Under that definition, category B covers a vehicle of 3,500 kg or less carrying the driver and no more than eight other people. A vehicle built for a ninth passenger falls in category D, and its smaller-bus subcategory is D1. The form counts seats in total and the directive counts passengers beside the driver, so the two lines sit one seat apart. Category B also carries a 3,500 kg weight limit; we hold no written weight for either car, so ask us to confirm it when you book.
Any other firm's seven- or eight-seater needs the same category B licence, so the licence gives you no reason to pick us over them. What applies at our desk is our own rule: every driver must be 21 or older, have held the licence for two years, and bring the original.

- Directive 2006/126/EC, Article 4, on legislation.gov.uk
We read both sources on 30 September 2026.

Seven seats outside Paphos: Limassol, Larnaca and elsewhere
Paphos is where both cars are kept, with four places to collect them. Limassol has its own office and a seven-seat model, the Nissan Serena Hybrid, on a separate card. Larnaca, Nicosia and Ayia Napa get a Paphos car by delivery only, since we keep no counter in any of the three.
| Where | Seven or eight seats there | Handover charge |
|---|---|---|
| Our Paphos office, Apostolou Pavlou Ave 33 | Sienta Hybrid or Serena | 0 EUR from 09:00 to 17:30, 30 EUR outside those hours |
| Paphos Airport | Sienta Hybrid or Serena | Pick-up from 09:00 to 17:30: 0 EUR on 5 days or more, 20 EUR under 5 days; 30 EUR outside. Drop-off: 0 EUR inside, 30 EUR outside |
| Coral Bay, Kato Paphos or your address in the Paphos area | Sienta Hybrid or Serena | 0 EUR inside 09:00 to 17:30, 30 EUR outside, at each end; a hotel drop-off outside the window is free |
| Limassol: our office at Analipseos 1, Kato Polemidia, or your hotel or villa | Nissan Serena Hybrid, seven seats; no eight-seater | None; delivery to a hotel or villa is free |
| Larnaca, Nicosia, Ayia Napa | Sienta Hybrid or Serena, delivered from Paphos | Delivery only; any charge confirmed in our reply |
| Limassol card | 22 days or more | 15 to 21 days | 8 to 14 days | 2 to 7 days |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nissan Serena Hybrid, 7 seats | 75 | 90 | 100 | 110 |
Every car finishes its hire in the town where it began. We run no one-way hires between towns, and leaving a car somewhere else costs from 300 EUR, so a group ending its trip on the far side of the island either pays that charge or drives back.
We have no counter in Larnaca. We bring a Paphos car, the Sienta Hybrid or the Serena, to your address there at Paphos rates, and any delivery charge is set out in our reply.
Four rules on tarmac, the Green Line, returns and fuel
Four clauses in our rental agreement carry charges that can exceed the hire itself, so every driver in the party should know them before setting off.
Stay on asphalt
Our signed agreement names both cars in its top band: 600 EUR per violation plus 30 EUR per started kilometre off the road. You may run 15 metres beyond the asphalt only to turn round. A track drawn by a navigation app still counts as off-road, and GPS evidence can be used to enforce the charge. Lara Beach, Blue Lagoon, Avakas Gorge and the Akamas Nature Park are off limits to a hired car, and entering one is charged as an off-road violation. Off-road damage stays yours, waiver or not.
The north
Taking either car across the Green Line needs our permission before you set off, separate insurance for the north and the papers that go with it. Without that approval the crossing falls outside our terms, and our agreement does not cover the hire while the car is in the north.
Bringing it back
The car goes back to the town it left from. Running late costs 20 EUR for each started hour, on top of a 100 EUR charge. A return to the wrong place starts at 300 EUR, so settle the return point before the group fixes its flights home.
Fuel and fines
The tank is full when you collect and should be full when you return. If it comes back short, we charge the missing fuel plus a refuelling fee. Traffic fines picked up during the hire are the renter's to pay.
These are summaries of our terms, not legal advice. The signed agreement decides.
Seven-seat listings for Cyprus as published on 4 August 2026
Published prices for a seven-seater in Cyprus disagree widely, sometimes inside a single page. Our one-day and 7 to 29 day rates are in the same table, with the excess and deposit beside them. Other firms are named here but not linked.
| Who | What they published | For | Read |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kayak, Paphos 7-seater page | £67 a day average in its FAQ, £49 in its trends block, cheapest supplier £37 | Paphos | 4 Aug 2026 |
| People Carrier Hire (peoplecarrierhire.co.uk) | £110 to £190 a day for a 7-seater; MPV £80 to £140 and people carrier £95 to £160 on the same table | Cyprus | 4 Aug 2026 |
| Rhino Car Hire | from 28 EUR a day for minivan hire | Paphos | 4 Aug 2026 |
| momondo | 7-passenger van from £28.05 a day | Larnaca | 4 Aug 2026 |
| Sixt | one Cyprus minivan branch, Aglandjia (Nicosia); no rate, seat count or excess published | Cyprus | 4 Aug 2026 |
| Carmaster (van hire, Nicosia) | deposit 550 EUR, excess 350 EUR, drivers 23 to 70, licence for manual vehicles | Cyprus | 4 Aug 2026 |
| Car Hire Paphos LTD (us) | 110 EUR one day (7 seats), 120 EUR (8 seats); 65 / 75 EUR a day from 7 to 29 days; excess 300 EUR with the waiver; deposit 300 EUR | Paphos | card read 26 Aug 2026 |
Our one-day rate is higher than most of the daily averages listed here. Our 7 to 29 day rate, 65 EUR for seven seats and 75 EUR for eight, falls within the range the others print
Of the listings read that day, none published an excess for a passenger seven- or eight-seater; Carmaster's 350 EUR excess and 550 EUR deposit are for its cargo vans. Before comparing any two firms for a group, ask each for both figures, because a lower day rate can come with a higher excess or deposit.
How a request becomes a handover
The form and the phone both send a request, not a booking. Nothing is set aside for your group until we write back with a yes, and nothing is paid before the day you collect.
Send the details
Use the form or call +357 99 173 142 at least 8 hours before you want to collect, Cyprus time. Tell us how many people are travelling, driver included, and how many large cases, so we can match the car to the group.
Our reply
Replies go out from 08:00 until 23:00, Cyprus time. Anything reaching us before 20:00 is answered that evening; later ones get a reply first thing next morning. The office keeps its own hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 to 19:00, Saturday and Sunday 09:00 to 16:00.
No payment in advance
You pay nothing in advance. The hire is paid when you collect, in cash or by card.
At the handover
The 300 EUR deposit is taken then, on a card or in cash, and it is returned once the car is back. The waiver is yours to add or leave and is never ticked for you; on a hire under 5 days the unlimited-kilometre option works the same way.
A group that needs both cars sends one request naming the Sienta Hybrid and the Serena together.
Questions groups ask about seven and eight seats
Nine answers on cost, the deposit, the airport, licences, ages and luggage.
Ask us about your group
Call +357 99 173 142 or write to info@carhirepaphos.cy with the party size and your dates.
From Paphos we hire the Toyota Sienta Hybrid with seven seats and the Nissan Serena with eight, both automatic. Our Limassol office has a seven-seat Nissan Serena Hybrid on its own card. The car handed over can be a different unit or colour from the picture on this page.
No. Every hire carries a 300 EUR deposit, collected at the desk when the hire starts, in cash or on a card, and returned once the car is back. It is separate from the 300 EUR excess, which is the most you would pay towards eligible bodywork damage with the waiver bought.
Yes, both cars can be collected at Paphos Airport. Between 09:00 and 17:30 Cyprus time the pick-up is free on a hire of 5 days or more and 20 EUR on a shorter one; outside those hours it is 30 EUR. Handing the car back at the airport is free inside the same window and 30 EUR outside it.
We keep no counter in Larnaca, so the car comes to you. We deliver the Sienta Hybrid or the Serena from our Paphos fleet to your Larnaca address and charge Paphos rates for the hire. Any delivery charge is stated in our reply to your request, before you commit to anything.
No. Our largest car seats eight, and we hire neither a nine-seat vehicle nor a minibus. A party of nine or more has two practical routes: two of our cars, asked for in one request, or a transfer company that supplies a vehicle with a driver.
An ordinary category B car licence covers both of our multi-seat cars. The Road Transport Department's licence form places minibuses of 9 to 16 seats in category D1, and ours have seven and eight. Directive 2006/126/EC puts category B at the driver plus up to eight passengers, so both cars fit on either source. Category B also has a 3,500 kg weight limit, which we confirm when you book, and our own rule still applies: 21 or over, licence held two years.
Neither car has a young-driver surcharge, so a driver aged 21, 22 or 23 pays the printed rate. For older drivers the rental line rises by 15 per cent at 74 or 75 and by 30 per cent from 76 to 90, and we cannot hire to anyone over 90. The oldest named driver on the pick-up date sets the figure.
We hold no written boot measurement for either car. Tell us how many people are travelling and how many large cases they bring, and we will say which car suits the load, or suggest two cars if one would be too tight.
Tell us about the group and the dates
Send the party size, the cases and your dates, and we reply with the car we would suggest and the price for those days. We hold no car for you until we reply yes.
