Ask for a buggy

Request onlyReplies go out between 08:00 and 23:00 Cyprus time. A request is not a booking until we confirm it.

This sends a request. Nothing is held until we confirm, and we settle the route with you in writing before you leave. Deposit of €300, taken at pick-up. No prepayment.

  • You pay when you collect the buggy, card or cash, and no booking fee applies at any stage.

  • Send a request before 20:00 Cyprus time and you hear from us that evening. We answer between 08:00 and 23:00, and your pick-up must be at least 8 hours after you send it.

  • Buggy hire here is self-drive: you take an off-road vehicle for a 24-hour day, with no guide. We hire two machines: the BNG-400 Sniper, a two-seat 400cc off-road buggy, and the CFMoto UForce 1000XL Crew, a six-seat 4WD utility vehicle with a cargo bed. Either leaves the tarmac only on a route we have agreed with you in writing.

The short version

  • A hire day runs for 24 hours
  • Two-seat: 100 km a day included, then 0.25 EUR a km
  • Your route is agreed in writing before you set off
  • The Blue Lagoon is off the list
  • Optional waiver at 15 EUR a day per buggy, 300 EUR excess, off-road damage not covered
  • Third-party liability and 24/7 roadside assistance come with the rate
  • A second driver costs nothing
  • Handover before 09:00 or after 17:30: 30 EUR per end

Two buggies, and which one fits your group

Whether you searched for a beach buggy or a dune buggy, we hire two models, a two-seat buggy and a six-seat 4WD. If you searched for a 4 seater buggy in Paphos: we have none, so a group of three to six takes the six-seat.

What a buggy costs for one day, a weekend or a week

One day costs 150 EUR on the two-seat and 280 EUR on the six-seat. The length of the whole hire sets the daily rate, and a day means 24 hours. Figures from our rate card as read on 26 August 2026.

Price per day. The whole hire is charged at one band. The waiver and any handover fee come on top. Card read 26 August 2026.

Third-party liability and 24/7 roadside assistance are in the rate. Fuel and the optional waiver are not.

How we check and date these figures is set out in our note on verifying prices.

Worked totals, from the table

From the rates above, the two-seat for 3 days comes to 360 EUR, and for a week to 560 EUR. The six-seat for 3 days is 660 EUR, and for 8 days 1,280 EUR. Adding the waiver to a 3-day two-seat hire puts another 45 EUR on the bill. Every figure here is for one buggy: two two-seats for 3 days are 720 EUR, plus 90 EUR if both carry the waiver.

The whole hire sits in one band, so a single day costs more than each day of a week. Add a fourth day to a three-day hire and the lower rate applies to all four.

We take hires as short as one hour, but the card is priced by the day, so for anything shorter ask us for a figure rather than dividing the table.

Who may drive: age, licence and the papers to bring

Drivers from 18 may be accepted, depending on your licence category, your driving experience and our insurer's conditions. You must have held the licence for at least 2 years, and we need the original.

Age

From 18, if licence category, driving experience and the insurer's conditions allow it.

Original licence

The physical document, in the right category for the machine.

Two years held

The licence must be at least 2 years old on the day you collect.

Older drivers

74 to 75: +15 % on the rental line. 76 to 90: +30 %. Past 90, no hire. If two drivers are named, the older one's age counts.

Whether your licence is recognised in Cyprus depends on where it was issued.

Put your age and years licensed in the request and we will answer yes or no before you arrive.

Neither buggy carries a young-driver surcharge, and a second driver is free on any hire.

The card itself, not a picture of it

Bring the physical licence; a photocopy or phone photo will not do. CoolQuadCY's page, observed on 3 August 2026, accepts a clear photo. We do not. The category must also match the machine, and we confirm which applies when we reply.

Two official pages cover recognition: the EU's Your Europe guide to licence recognition: a licence issued in an EU country is recognised in Cyprus. EU law does not regulate the international driving permit, so it may not be recognised. the UK Foreign Office's Cyprus travel advice: a UK photocard licence can be used, while an older paper licence may need more.

Your passport stays with you

The UK Foreign Office says handing over a passport as a rental deposit is illegal and advises never to do it. Our deposit is 300 EUR in money.

Helmets

We do not state whether Cyprus law requires a helmet in a buggy. Two Paphos operators, observed on 3 August 2026, publish conflicting statements, one about buggies and one about quads, and we found no reachable government source that settles it. Ask us when you collect.

The north

Crossing the Green Line needs our written agreement in advance, insurance that covers the north (ours does not) and the papers the crossing asks for. The UK Foreign Office warns that cars hired in the Republic often carry no insurance cover in the north. A buggy stays on its agreed route in any case.

Rules change. We checked these points on 30 September 2026; they are not legal advice, so confirm them with us when you book.

Deposit, waiver and what happens if the buggy is damaged

Two separate 300 EUR amounts apply. The deposit is taken for each buggy and returned. The excess is the most you pay for eligible bodywork damage on a buggy whose optional waiver you bought, at 15 EUR a day per buggy. The waiver does not cover damage done off the tarmac.

Third-party cover alone is common for this kind of hire: the UK Foreign Office notes that quad and moped hire firms usually give third-party cover only, and two Paphos quad and buggy firms published the same when we read their pages on 3 August 2026.

300
EUR excess with the waiver

The waiver is optional, covers eligible bodywork only, and the online request form does not add it yet: ask for it and we add it when we confirm.

The deposit

The deposit is 300 EUR of security for each buggy, by card or cash, taken when you collect and handed back when the buggy returns. Two buggies mean two deposits, 600 EUR. It is not a charge.

The waiver excess and the deposit are separate amounts. Source: our rental terms and fact record, 30 September 2026.

As of 30 September 2026. This explains our own terms and is not legal or financial advice; confirm the cover with us when you book. Figures checked against our fact record and rental terms on 30 September 2026; rate card read 26 August 2026; other firms' figures observed 3 August 2026.

Included in the day rate, and what you pay on top

Third-party liability and round-the-clock roadside help come with the rate. You pay extra for fuel, the waiver and handovers outside the fee window.

For a delivery the form asks for your street address. The address never changes the price.

Tracks we can approve, and places a buggy cannot go

This is off-road buggy hire on a route we agree with you in writing before you set off. Several zones may be approved. The Blue Lagoon and public highways never are.

Zones that may be approved
  • Adonis Baths, subject to conditions on the day
  • White River, subject to conditions on the day
  • Lara Bay, subject to conditions on the day
  • Avakas Gorge, subject to conditions on the day
Never approved
  • The Blue Lagoon
  • Fontana Amorosa
  • Public highways

The written route is your permission, and it covers nothing outside that route.

Why the Blue Lagoon is a no

Some other firms differ here. CoolQuadCY allowed the Blue Lagoon on its 700cc and larger machines when we read its page on 3 August 2026, and Energy Quad and Golden Ride advertised trips there. We do not approve it. If that bay is the point of your day, book a guided tour instead.

How far you can go

The two-seat includes 100 km a day, then 0.25 EUR per kilometre. We plan the distance with you when we agree the route, and confirm the six-seat's terms when we reply.

Why not take a hire car?

Our cars are for tarmac. Where the asphalt stops, the terms allow 15 m for turning round; beyond that the penalty is 450 or 600 EUR, plus 20 or 30 EUR per started km, depending on the car class. On the tracks, take the buggy.Car hire in Paphos covers the tarmac side.

Ask us to approve a route

Checked on 30 September 2026. Access rules can change and this is not legal advice; we confirm your route with you when you book.

Collecting the buggy: office, airport, Coral Bay or your hotel

We have four handover points. A handover between 09:00 and 17:30 is free; at other times it costs 30 EUR at each end. The airport differs: inside that window, pick-up there is 20 EUR for a hire under five days.

How a request works

You send the request and we reply, the same evening if it arrives before 20:00 Cyprus time. We then agree the route with you in writing, and you pay when you collect. Nothing is held until we confirm.

Need a car as well? We also do car hire from the same Coral Bay point.

Other Paphos buggy firms: their published terms beside ours

Rival firms put no dates on their figures, and several leave out a term such as the deposit or a kilometre cap. Our one-day two-seat rate is higher than the lowest published 400cc figure. We publish the deposit, write down the route and date the card.

Paphos buggy hire: nine questions

Nine short answers, each one from our own terms.

One 24-hour day costs 150 EUR on our two-seat and 280 EUR on our six-seat. Longer hires cost less per day, down to 80 EUR a day for a week on the two-seat and 160 EUR a day for eight days or more on the six-seat. The waiver and any handover fee are extra.

No. Our two machines seat two and six, so a group of three to six takes the six-seat CFMoto UForce 1000XL Crew at 280 EUR for one day. It is a 4WD with a cargo bed and, like the two-seat, leaves the tarmac only on a route agreed with us in writing.

You need the original licence, in the right category for the machine, held for at least 2 years. We do not accept a photocopy or phone photo. We confirm which category applies when we reply, so tell us what your licence shows. EU licences are recognised in Cyprus, and a UK photocard licence can be used.

Possibly. The insurer's conditions, the licence category and the driver's experience decide it, and the licence must be at least 2 years old. Put the driver's age and years licensed in the request and we will tell you before you travel. There is no young-driver surcharge on either buggy.

No. The Blue Lagoon is excluded, as are Fontana Amorosa and public highways. Adonis Baths, White River, Lara Bay and Avakas Gorge may be approved, depending on conditions on the day. If the Blue Lagoon is the reason for your trip, a guided tour goes there and suits you better than a hire from us.

You pay for it. Damage off the tarmac is outside the optional waiver, even on a route we approved. The waiver, at 15 EUR a day, caps eligible bodywork damage elsewhere at 300 EUR, and it never covers tyres, the underbody, glass, keys or the interior. The 300 EUR deposit is separate and comes back when the buggy returns.

On the two-seat, 100 km a day is included, and each kilometre past that costs 0.25 EUR. We plan the distance with you when we agree the route in writing. For the six-seat, we confirm that machine's terms when we reply, so ask if distance matters to your plan.

Yes. Delivery to your hotel or address in the Paphos area is free between 09:00 and 17:30 and costs 30 EUR at each end outside those times. Dropping the buggy back at a hotel after hours is free. Give us the street address in the form; it never changes the price.

No. You pay no booking fee and nothing in advance. At pick-up you pay the rate and we take a 300 EUR deposit for each buggy (cash or card), which comes back when the buggy returns. Until we confirm your request, nothing is held.
