Limassol has no airport of its own, and the handover choices for a Limassol hire are the three above.

Ask us for a Limassol car
Request only, nothing charged nowSent before 20:00 Cyprus time, a request gets its reply the same evening; the desk writes back from 08:00 to 23:00.You settle the hire when you collect, in cash or by card, and the 300 EUR deposit is taken at that moment and returned with the car. Nothing leaves your account beforehand.
Send it before 20:00 Cyprus time and the reply lands that evening. We reply to requests from 08:00 to 23:00, and the handover you ask for must be at least 8 hours after you send.
Limassol is one of five towns where we hire cars. A car taken here ends its hire here too; leaving it in any other town brings a return fee starting at 300 EUR.
The Limassol card at a glance
- Two days is the shortest hire, each day counted as 24 hours
- An automatic gearbox in every car
- The E-Class runs on diesel; the other twelve on petrol or petrol hybrid
- Second driver and child seat free, whatever the length
- Kilometres unlimited once the hire reaches five days
- No handover fee on a Limassol hire, delivery included
- No young-driver surcharge on any of these cars
- Third-party liability and 24/7 roadside help come with the rate
Thirteen automatic models to ask for
Two days at least, and the car comes back to Limassol
The shortest Limassol hire is two days of 24 hours each. The car starts and finishes in Limassol: we run no one-way to Paphos, Larnaca, Nicosia or Ayia Napa, and bringing it back to another town is charged from 300 EUR.
The form counts hours, not calendar dates. Collect at 10:00 on a Monday and return at 12:00 on the Tuesday, and it reads two days and lets the request through. Make that return 10:00 on the Tuesday and the clock shows one day, which it turns down. A car for a single day is something only our Paphos card sells.
We hire cars in five towns, but a Limassol car cannot be dropped in Larnaca or Nicosia on the way somewhere else. Our form asks for one town, and both ends of the hire are chosen from places inside it, so walking into the return charge by accident takes some effort. Paphos keeps its own fleet at its own prices, and two model names that appear on both cards belong to different cars, so a stay based in Paphos is hired in Paphos.
Staying on the west coast? Look at hiring in Paphos instead.
Limassol rates by class, from a weekend to a month
A small car is 45 EUR a day when the hire lasts 2 to 7 days. The full length decides the band, so a ten-day hire pays the 8 to 14 rate on every one of its days. The waiver adds 15 EUR a day. Card dated 20 August 2026.
| Class | Hire of 2 to 7 days, EUR a day | Hire of 8 to 14 | Hire of 15 to 21 | 22 days and longer | Seats | Models |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Small economy car | 45 | 40 | 35 | 30 | 5 | Nissan Note, Mazda Demio, Toyota Aqua Hybrid, Toyota Vitz |
| Small hybrid | 50 | 45 | 40 | 35 | 5 | Nissan Note Hybrid, Toyota Yaris Hybrid |
| Four-door saloon | 60 | 55 | 45 | 40 | 5 | Nissan Sylphy |
| Crossover | 65 | 60 | 55 | 50 | 5 | Toyota Yaris Cross Hybrid, Mazda CX-3, Toyota C-HR Hybrid |
| Mid-size SUV | 70 | 65 | 60 | 55 | 5 | Mazda CX-5 Hybrid |
| Seven-seater | 110 | 100 | 90 | 75 | 7 | Nissan Serena Hybrid |
| Executive, diesel | 130 | 120 | 100 | 90 | 5 | Mercedes-Benz E-Class |
Each car is an automatic. Third-party liability and round-the-clock roadside help are part of the rate, the waiver is an extra you choose, and no driver pays a young-driver surcharge on this card.
Near a band edge, a longer hire can cost less. A small car for 7 days comes to 315 EUR and for 8 days to 320 EUR, so the eighth day costs 5 EUR. Fourteen days make 560 EUR while fifteen make 525 EUR, and 21 days at 735 EUR fall to 660 EUR at 22. When your dates land close to one of those edges, price a day longer before sending anything; the panel above runs the sum for your own dates.
Take a small economy car for three days: 3 × 45 comes to 135 EUR, the waiver adds 3 × 15 = 45 EUR, and the hire totals 180 EUR. The 300 EUR deposit is taken at collection on top of that and paid back when the car returns.
Ten days in a small hybrid sit in the 8 to 14 band, so 10 × 45 = 450 EUR. Because the hire is five days or more, the kilometres are unlimited, and the waiver would add 150 EUR if you want it.
At one end of the card, the Nissan Sylphy saloon costs 60 EUR a day on a short hire. At the other, the executive class starts at 130 EUR and comes down to 90 EUR once a hire reaches 22 days. That Mercedes-Benz E-Class is the one diesel car we hire; the twelve others burn petrol or run as petrol hybrids.
Office, hotel door or an agreed corner: three Limassol handovers, no handover fee
There are three ways to take the car: at our office at Analipseos 1, Kato Polemidia; brought free to a hotel or villa in Limassol, whatever the length; or at a spot we agree when we confirm. None of them carries a handover fee.
Our office
Analipseos 1, Kato Polemidia, Lemesos 4154. The handover time is settled with your confirmation.
Your hotel or villa
Free at any length. Choose "Deliver to my address" in the form, and that address is where the driver heads.
An agreed spot
Arranged booking by booking; there is no published address for it.
The delivery area is settled when we confirm. Addresses in the city, such as Limassol Marina or Germasogeia, are the kind we mean; we print no delivery hours and draw no map, because the edge is not fixed in writing. One named rival is just as loose: AmberCar offers delivery "within the area of Limassol city, without any extra cost" (13 August 2026).
The out-of-hours and airport fees printed on our Paphos pages belong to the Paphos area. A Limassol handover carries neither. The 8-hour notice still applies.
Renting in Limassol without a deposit? We take 300 EUR and hand it back
No, a Limassol hire always carries a deposit: we hold 300 EUR when you collect, card or cash, and return it when the car comes back. It is a different sum from the 300 EUR excess, which only counts if the car is damaged.
If you searched for "rent car limassol without deposit", note that this page quotes two separate 300 EUR sums. The deposit is money we hold on every single hire and hand back at the end. The excess is the ceiling on your share of bodywork damage once you have paid the 15 EUR a day waiver.
Cash works, and so does a card. What decides a card is whether it takes a pre-authorisation, not the name printed on it: any card that does, Revolut included, is accepted subject to approval, vehicle category and rental conditions.
For anyone typing "car rental limassol no deposit", smaller holds do exist in this town, all read on 13 August 2026. Chris Car Hire holds 500 to 1,000 EUR by group and releases it after 15 days. AutoTrust holds a sum equal to its excess, 300 to 900 EUR, by card or cash, and sells a Super CDW billed as "Zero Excess and Zero Deposit". Privilege advertises "No deposit". So a lower or absent deposit can be had here, just not from us.
Thirteen automatic models to ask for
Each card asks us for that exact model; no car is set aside for you until our reply says so. The figure shown is the day rate on a 2 to 7 day hire; it comes down on longer ones.
Photos show the model, not the individual car you will drive.
Three weeks or more: the fourth band, and the monthly firms that still undercut it
From 22 days a small car is 30 EUR a day, and it stays at that rate however long the hire runs. There is no separate monthly product and no monthly figure. For a month or longer, several Limassol firms publish lower totals than our card.
A month worked out: a Toyota Yaris Hybrid for 30 days sits in the fourth band, so 30 × 35 = 1,050 EUR. That includes unlimited kilometres, a free second driver and child seat, and the 300 EUR deposit paid back at the end.
On 11 August 2026, these monthly firms priced below us. MAS Cars lists the same Yaris Hybrid at 450 EUR a month with zero excess, no deposit, and road tax and servicing included, plus a Honda Fit Hybrid at 520 EUR. Infinite Car Rentals starts at 480 EUR a month, and Hertz Cyprus from 14 EUR a day. For a hire of a month or more, most readers will pay less with a monthly specialist.
Our card suits a resident between cars for two or three weeks, and at the 15-day and 22-day edges shown in the rate table. Voyage advertises "lower rates the longer you rent" (13 August 2026); our card falls with length too, so on that point the two are level.
The band edges are set out in the rate table by hire length.
Inside the day rate, and what can be added to it
The collision damage waiver is an optional 15 EUR a day that limits your share of bodywork damage to 300 EUR. The day rate already carries third-party cover, roadside help, the gearbox, a second driver and a child seat. The waiver, a late return and a return in the wrong town are what can raise the bill.
| On a Limassol hire | Status | Cost to you |
|---|---|---|
| Third-party liability | In the rate | 0 |
| Roadside assistance, day and night | In the rate | 0 |
| Automatic gearbox | Every car | 0 |
| Second driver, child seat | On request, any length | 0 |
| Kilometres | Unlimited on a hire of five days or more | 0 on those hires |
| Collision damage waiver | Optional | 15 EUR a day, bodywork excess 300 EUR |
| Keys, glass and tyres | Outside the waiver | Repair or replacement at your cost |
| Interior and underbody damage | Outside the waiver | At your cost |
| Late return | Charged | 100 EUR plus 20 EUR for each hour started |
| Return to a town other than Limassol | Charged | From 300 EUR |
Fuel works level for level: hand the tank back as full as it came, or we fill it and bill the fuel plus a refuelling fee. Kilometres are unlimited on a hire of five days or more. The paid unlimited option sold on short Paphos hires does not exist on this card.
On a Limassol hire, 300 EUR is the ceiling on what you pay toward bodywork damage, provided you took the waiver at 15 EUR a day. Skip the waiver and the whole repair falls to you. The 300 EUR deposit is a separate sum and comes back when the car does.
Driving off asphalt also sits outside the waiver. A car may go 15 metres past the last asphalt to turn, and no further. Beyond that, each violation costs 450 EUR plus 20 EUR per started kilometre in the economy, hybrid and saloon classes, and 600 EUR plus 30 EUR in the crossovers, the SUV, the seven-seater and the executive car; the car records its route and GPS evidence counts. For scale, published Limassol excesses ran from zero to 2,000 EUR on 13 August 2026: Chris Car Hire 1,000 to 2,000, AutoTrust 300 to 900 by group with a zero-excess Super CDW, and Privilege advertising "No Excess insurance". We sell no zero-excess product.
Third-party cover is in every rate because EU law makes it compulsory for any vehicle normally based in a member state: Directive 2009/103/EC, Article 3. Directive text checked on 30 September 2026.
Crossing the Green Line
Taking the car north of the Green Line without our approval first puts the trip outside our cover. Once we have said yes, the drive also needs insurance bought for the north itself and the papers the crossing asks for.

Named Limassol firms and comparison sites against our terms, losses first
On price alone, several Limassol firms and the KAYAK and Discover Cars headlines we read sit under our card. A request to us pins down, before you commit, one excess, one deposit, the waiver's day price and the total for your dates.
| Term | Car Hire Paphos, Limassol card | Named Limassol firms (date read) |
|---|---|---|
| Lowest published day rate | 30 EUR (22 days or more), 45 EUR on 2 to 7 days | AmberCar from 16.80 EUR; Voyage from 22.95 EUR (13 Aug 2026) |

| Youngest and oldest driver | 21 to 90, surcharge from 74 | Chris 25 and over; Enterprise 25 to 79 (13 Aug 2026) |
- AmberCar and Voyage start lower than our entry rate.
- The same two price hybrids, crossovers and seven-seaters under ours.
- AutoTrust and Privilege sell a zero-excess product; we have none.
- Privilege takes no deposit.
- Chris Car Hire runs a one-way for 25 EUR.
- AutoTrust and Chris give unlimited kilometres on every hire; ours begin at five days.
Comparison sites headlined Limassol on 13 August 2026 with KAYAK at "from £18" a day, down from £23.25 two days before, and Discover Cars at "from £7" for small cars. A headline figure says nothing about the class, the length or the excess behind it, and that one changed within two days.
Our terms are ahead in five places. The rate, the excess and the waiver's day price sit together on one page, while none of the five Limassol firms read publishes both a rate and an excess. Drivers start at 21 against 25 at two named firms, with no young-driver surcharge. Every car is an automatic, and nothing is paid before pick-up.
The cars belong to us and the prices are set by us, so no commission is earned by anyone when you send a request from this page. A question like "which is the best rental company in Cyprus" has no neutral answer here; compare the terms above for yourself.
Payment happens at pick-up, cash or card, alongside the 300 EUR deposit. Nothing is taken before that.
No buggies or scooters in Limassol: those stay in Paphos
Our buggies and the scooter are kept in Paphos and never hired out from Limassol. This page offers cars and nothing else.
People do search for scooter and buggy hire in Limassol. We cannot serve that from here, and the booking form refuses any request that pairs a buggy or the scooter with Limassol.
Who can drive: from 21, surcharges from 74, nobody over 90
You need to be 21 and to have held your original licence for two years. Nobody over 90 on the pick-up date can drive. Limassol cars carry no young-driver charge, and the age surcharge begins at 74.
21 and two years
Every driver is at least 21 and has held a licence for two years or more.
Oldest driver counts
The oldest named driver sets the band, using their age on the day the car is collected.
Bands from 74
Ages 74 to 75 add 15 %, 76 to 90 add 30 %, both on the rental line only, and over 90 is refused.
Original licence
Bring the licence itself, not a copy, in the category that covers a car.
Worked through: a 75-year-old taking a small car for 10 days pays 10 × 40 = 400 EUR, and 15 % on that is 60 EUR. At 78 the same hire carries 30 %, which is 120 EUR. The waiver and any extras are never surcharged, and a 22-year-old pays nothing extra on a Limassol car.
Other firms in town read differently, all on 13 August 2026. Chris Car Hire's terms say drivers must be "25 years old and over", then set out a rule for drivers under 25 in the same document. Enterprise publishes a maximum rental age of 79. Andys Motors warns that bookings under 23 "may be cancelled" and may charge extra for additional drivers aged 69 to 79.
A licence issued in any EU country is recognised in all of them: Directive 2006/126/EC, Article 2. Directive text checked on 30 September 2026.
The same directive, in Article 4, sets 18 as the EU minimum age for a category B licence; 21 is our rental rule, not a legal age. If your licence was issued beyond the EU, raise it with us in the request.
General information about our own rules, not legal advice. Confirm your drivers with us when you book.
Limassol hire, asked and answered
Ten questions about the Limassol card, each answered from our own terms.
Three days at 45 EUR come to 135 EUR, and the waiver at 15 EUR a day adds 45 EUR, so the hire is 180 EUR. On collection we also hold a 300 EUR deposit, which returns to you with the car. Nothing at all is paid before pick-up; the whole amount is settled when you take the keys.
No. The Limassol card starts at two days, each of 24 hours. Picking up at 10:00 on a Monday and returning at 12:00 on the Tuesday counts as two days and goes through; returning at 10:00 that Tuesday counts as one and is turned down. A one-day car is sold only on our Paphos card.
Yes. The card has four length bands, and the whole hire takes the rate of the band it reaches. Ten days in a small car is 10 × 40 = 400 EUR. The edges can reverse a total: fourteen days cost 560 EUR, while fifteen cost 525 EUR, because day fifteen moves the entire hire to the 35 EUR band.
No. Delivery to a hotel or villa in Limassol is free however long the hire lasts, and a Limassol handover carries no handover fee. The exact delivery area is settled when we confirm your request, so put the full address in the form and our reply will settle whether it is covered.
Only the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, in the executive class at 130 EUR a day on a 2 to 7 day hire. The twelve other cars on the Limassol card use petrol or are petrol hybrids, from the Toyota Aqua Hybrid to the Nissan Serena Hybrid. All thirteen models have an automatic gearbox, so there is no manual to ask for.
No. None of the Limassol cars carries a young-driver surcharge. Each driver needs to be at least 21 and to have held a licence for two years. The only age surcharge on this card runs the other way: it begins at 74, is judged on the oldest named driver, and applies to the rental line alone.
No, they only share a number. The deposit is held on every hire, by card or in cash, and handed back when the car returns. The excess is the most you would pay toward bodywork damage after taking the 15 EUR a day waiver, and it only comes into play if the car is actually damaged.
A return to any town other than Limassol is charged from 300 EUR, because we run no one-way hires between our five towns. Our booking form asks you for one town and picks both ends of the hire inside it, which keeps the charge from catching anyone by surprise. For a Paphos stay, hire in Paphos.
A scraped door is bodywork, so with the waiver you pay at most 300 EUR toward the repair. Some damage never falls under the waiver, though: the underbody, anything caused by driving off asphalt, the keys, the interior, the tyres and the glass. Those are paid in full by the driver, whatever cover was bought.
Send it before 20:00 Cyprus time and the answer comes that same evening; after 20:00 it arrives the next morning. We read requests from 08:00 until 23:00. Whenever you send, the handover time you ask for has to be at least 8 hours later, so an evening request suits a pick-up the following day.
Tell us your dates and your part of Limassol
Your message is a request, and nothing is held until we confirm it. Our replies go out between 08:00 and 23:00 Cyprus time, and anything that reaches us before 20:00 is answered before the evening ends.
