A Paphos company hiring out vehicles it owns

This website is published by Car Hire Paphos LTD, and every vehicle it describes is one of ours. Nothing on it is sold on behalf of another firm, so the company named at the foot of each page is the one that answers your request.

We print our registration number so that you can look us up in the Cyprus companies register before you send anything. If the register shows something different from the table below, please let us know and we will put it right.

Four items are left out on purpose: the date of incorporation, the VAT number, the names of the directors and any licence or permit number. None of them has been confirmed to us in writing yet, and we do not print company details we cannot back with a document.

Our office, our replies to requests and our handover fees each keep their own hours. Reading one as if it were another is an easy way to be caught out, so the table gives each its own row.

A request cannot ask for a pick-up less than 8 hours after it is sent.

The table shows our Paphos card as one-day starting rates for each group. On a longer hire the daily rate comes down, and the band is chosen by the length of the whole hire rather than counted day by day.

No rate includes the Collision Damage Waiver. You can add it for 15 EUR a day, and with it the most you pay towards eligible bodywork damage is a 300 EUR excess. Limassol works from a card of its own with a minimum hire of 2 days, which is why none of its prices appear here.

• Buggies and the scooter stay in the Paphos area. The other four cities are served with cars only.
• A quad is on order. Until its details are confirmed we publish no price, model or terms for it.
• None of our vehicles may go north of the Green Line unless we have agreed to it beforehand and you carry separate insurance for the north and the right documents.

Car hire by class and townBuggy hire around Paphos

Around Paphos we hand vehicles over at our Paphos office, Paphos Airport, Coral Bay and Kato Paphos, or bring one to your hotel, villa or another address in the area. Between 09:00 and 17:30 all of these are free, apart from an airport pick-up on a hire shorter than 5 days, which costs 20 EUR. Outside those hours a handover costs 30 EUR, charged at each end on its own, though a return to a Paphos hotel carries no fee at any hour.

Limassol is for cars only. You can collect from our office at Analipseos 1, Kato Polemidia, have the car delivered to your hotel or villa at no charge, or meet us at a place we settle for your booking, and Limassol has no handover fees.

Larnaca, Nicosia and Ayia Napa have no office or counter of ours, so a car reaches you there by delivery to the address you give us. What that delivery involves in those three cities is set out in our reply to your request.

A vehicle goes back to the town it was collected in, since we run no one-way hires between any of the five cities. Leaving it anywhere we have not agreed costs 300 EUR per incident, on top of the actual costs that follow.

On the reservation page you choose dates and a vehicle and see what those exact days cost, worked out from the same card printed above. It does not put a vehicle aside for you, and it says nothing about whether one is available.

Each request is read by a person on our team, who replies between 08:00 and 23:00 Cyprus time. Write before 20:00 and the answer should reach you that evening; anything later is dealt with the next morning. No vehicle is held in your name until that reply arrives, and you can always ring us instead.

Sending a request costs nothing, and we take no money before the hire starts: you pay at pick-up, in cash or by card. At the handover we also take a 300 EUR deposit on every hire and give it back when the vehicle is returned. That deposit is not the 300 EUR excess, which only matters if you bought the waiver and is the most you would pay for eligible bodywork damage.

• Ratings, reviews and testimonials. We have not collected any, so there are none to display.
• Countdown clocks, and warnings that vehicles are running out.
• Any claim that a vehicle is held for you or available before a person has replied.
• Discount percentages, or a saving worked out against a competitor we name.
• Links to other rental companies. When we mention one, it appears by name next to a dated figure, never as a link.
