No booking yetWant the waiver? Say so in the request and we add it when we confirm.

Only Paphos-area points appear, because both buggies are kept there.

This sends a request, not a booking. The machine is yours once we confirm, and the route goes in writing before you set off. Deposit of €300, taken at pick-up. No prepayment.

  • You pay the rate, any waiver you chose and the deposit at the handover, in cash or by card.

  • Pick a collection time at least 8 hours after your request. On Cyprus time our replies run from 08:00 until 23:00, and whatever lands by 20:00 (18:00 UK time) is answered that same evening.

  • A buggy is a seated off-road machine you drive yourself. We run two: the BNG-400 Sniper seats two on a 400cc engine; the CFMoto UForce 1000XL Crew seats six, with 4WD and a cargo bed.

Before you ask

  • Deposit: 300 EUR per machine, returned
  • Waiver: 15 EUR a day per machine, bodywork only, nothing off the asphalt
  • A week on the two-seat totals 560 EUR
  • No young-driver surcharge on either machine
  • Aged 74 to 75, +15 % on the rental price; 76 to 90, +30 %; over 90 we cannot hire
  • Every route agreed in writing; public highways never approved
  • 100 km a day included on the two-seat, then 0.25 EUR a km

Where in Cyprus you can collect one of our buggies, and where you cannot

All four of our buggy handover points are in the Paphos area. Elsewhere on the island we offer cars or nothing, town by town below.

Most of the English-language results for Cyprus buggy rental come from firms in the Famagusta district. In English results read on 4 August 2026, Easy Riders, KB Motorbikes and 2K Safari advertised Ayia Napa, Protaras and Paralimni, and PR Rentals listed Latchi. We serve none of those towns.

A day, three days or a week: the whole bill per machine

The whole bill for one machine at three lengths. A day is 24 hours, and the rate falls as the hire lengthens.

Day rate times days, the whole hire in one band. Deposit and waiver per machine; handover fees extra. Card read 26 August 2026.

The rate covers third-party liability and 24/7 roadside assistance; fuel and the waiver cost extra.

How we read and date this card is set out in how our rate figures are checked.

Arithmetic from our card

Seven days on the two-seat (560 EUR) cost less than six (600 EUR), because the seventh day moves the whole hire into the 80 EUR band. On the six-seat, eight days (1,280 EUR) cost less than seven (1,330 EUR).

No four-seat machine

There is no four-seat buggy on our card for anyone searching 4 seater buggy hire, beach buggy hire or dune buggy hire. A party of four takes the six-seat at 280 EUR for one day, or two two-seats at 300 EUR, each with its own deposit.

The older-driver surcharge falls on the rental line only: one day on the two-seat costs a 75-year-old 172.50 EUR and a 78-year-old 195 EUR.

The shortest hire is one hour, but we publish only daily rates, so ask us for anything under a day.

A Nissan March costs 65 EUR for one day on our car hire rates, so a buggy is the dearer way to get about and earns its price only off the tarmac. For a rate at every length of hire, see the buggy ladder by length.

Deposit and waiver for each buggy, and the damage that stays yours

For 15 EUR a day per machine, the optional waiver caps what you pay for eligible bodywork damage at 300 EUR. Glass and keys stay yours, as does the interior, and so do tyres and the underbody. Anything that happens off the asphalt is yours too. The deposit is held on every hire, damage or not.

What other island firms publish on excess

Of eight island buggy sites read on 4 August 2026, only Petrides publishes an excess, 5,000 EUR for buggies, on a page with no rate. KB Motorbikes calls insurance included without stating a limit. Take our optional waiver and your excess is 300 EUR, printed next to the rate.

Off the asphalt, the damage is yours

Damage off the asphalt stays with you even with the waiver. For hire firms generally, the Foreign Office's advice for Cyprus says those hiring out mopeds and quad bikes usually give third-party insurance only, leaving vehicle damage with the rider.

How the deposit adds up for a party

Two machines mean 600 EUR held, and each deposit comes back with its buggy. We take it at collection, in cash or by card.

The waiver is the only damage cover we sell on a buggy.

Our own terms, not legal or financial advice. Check the cover with us when you book. Figures checked on 30 September 2026 against our fact record and rental terms. Rate card read 26 August 2026; island firms observed 4 August 2026; the three official pages re-read 30 September 2026.

Driving a buggy in Cyprus: age by machine, licence rules and papers

Across the island the minimum age follows the machine. On ours a driver of 18 may be accepted, depending on licence category, driving experience and our insurer. Bring the original licence, held at least 2 years.

Age, conditionally

18 may be accepted, subject to licence category, driving experience and our insurer.

Original, two years

The physical licence, held at least 2 years, in the right category.

Where it was issued

A full EU licence is recognised, and a UK photocard can be used.

Older drivers

+15 % on the rental line from 74 to 75, +30 % from 76 to 90, no hire over 90. The oldest named driver sets the band.

Why island answers on age differ

Published minimums change with the machine. KB Motorbikes gives 18 for its CF Moto 800 and Sniper FX 400 and 21 for its Polaris range; Petrides gives a flat 20 (both observed 4 August 2026).

We charge no young-driver surcharge, and a second driver is free. Put each driver's age and years licensed in the request.

Licence category: what EU law says

At EU level, Article 4 of Directive 2006/126/EC makes B1, the quadricycle category, optional; a Member State without it requires category B, which carries an EU minimum age of 18. We confirm the category you need when we reply.

Two official pages on whether your licence is recognised: Your Europe on licence recognition: a full EU licence is recognised; provisional or temporary documents and international permits are not covered. the Foreign Office's safety page on Cyprus: a UK photocard is fine; the old paper licence alone may need a photocard or the right international permit.

Keep your passport

The UK Foreign Office calls a passport taken as a rental deposit illegal. One island operator's own page, read 4 August 2026, says it holds customers' passports. Our deposit is money; your passport stays with you.

Helmets and the law

Petrides and PR Rentals supply a helmet or safety gear without stating the law, and no government source we could read settles it, so we state no rule. Ask us at the handover.

Which tracks we sign off, and which we never do

Every route is agreed with us in writing before you leave. Four zones may be approved on the day; three places never are.

May be approved, conditions permitting
  • Avakas Gorge
  • Adonis Baths
  • Lara Bay
  • White River
Never signed off
  • Public highways
  • Fontana Amorosa
  • The Blue Lagoon

If a place is not on your written route, you may not drive there.

The Blue Lagoon is a Latchi trip

Latchi is not one of our points and we never approve the lagoon, so for that bay take one of the tours compared above.

How other firms word it

Petrides publishes "NOT ON THE BEACH", and 2K Safari advises sticking to designated paths (both observed 4 August 2026). Our rental agreement lists beaches and salt lakes, with the named zones, among places entered only with our prior written approval.

Across the Green Line

The UK Foreign Office warns, in its Cyprus safety and security advice, that cars hired in the Republic are often not insured in the north. Our cover ends at the line unless we agree otherwise in writing; any crossing needs your own separate insurance and papers.

Why a hire car will not do

Our agreement treats any surface that is not asphalt as off-road, even where a map app shows a road. A car may go 15 m to turn round; past that you pay 450 or 600 EUR, by car class, plus 20 or 30 EUR for each started km. For days on the asphalt, take one of our hire cars.

Phone to agree a route

Our terms as of 30 September 2026, not legal advice; your route is confirmed when you book.

Looking for a quad bike instead?

We hire no quad today. One is on order, with no rate, model or date published yet. Both our machines are seated buggies.

You ride a quad astride and sit in a buggy, which affects licence category and insurance.

Other island firms hire quads; we name and link none.

When island buggy searches peak, and why our price does not follow

UK searches for buggy hire cyprus climb about eightfold from December to July, but our rate stays the same all year. For July and August, ask early.

In DataForSEO figures read on 4 August 2026, "buggy hire cyprus" drew 320 UK searches in July 2025, 40 in December 2025 and 110 to 170 a month from January to March. In Cyprus, "buggy rental cyprus" drew 110 in August 2025 and 10 in December.

The 8-hour notice is a minimum, not a target.

What the day rate covers and what gets added at the handover

Liability cover, roadside help and a second driver are in the rate. Fuel, the waiver, extra two-seat kilometres and out-of-window handovers are added when they apply.

The six-seat has no published kilometre allowance; what we agree goes in writing.

From our rental terms, as checked on 30 September 2026.

Island buggy hire, answered

Nine questions an island-wide search raises, answered from our terms.

No. Both buggies stay at our four Paphos-area points: the office on Apostolou Pavlou Ave, Paphos Airport, and delivery to Coral Bay or Kato Paphos. Only our cars go further, from our Limassol office at Analipseos 1 or by delivery to Larnaca, Nicosia and Ayia Napa.

Yes. On the two-seat, seven days total 560 EUR against 600 EUR for six, because the seventh day puts the whole hire on 80 EUR a day. The six-seat changes band a day later, so eight days cost less than seven.

Yes. Each machine carries its own 300 EUR deposit, so two buggies mean 600 EUR held until both are back. The optional waiver is also per machine, 15 EUR a day each or 30 EUR a day for two.

No. When we read island firms on 4 August 2026 they published 18, 20 or 21, depending on the machine. On both of ours a driver from 18 may be accepted, subject to licence category, driving experience and our insurer. Older drivers pay a surcharge from 74, and over 90 we cannot hire.

Yes, with the UK photocard, which the UK Foreign Office says can be used. Bring the original, held for at least 2 years; a copy will not do. Tell us your licence categories and we confirm the one you need.

For a few hours, usually yes. When we read STS Motofun's page on 4 August 2026, it listed 120 EUR for seven guided hours, less than our 150 EUR two-seat day, and its short tours reach the Blue Lagoon. For 24 hours on your own agreed route, hire instead.

No. One card applies all year, so July costs what January does. Demand changes instead, with UK searches in July at about eight times December's, so send the request early.

A late return costs 100 EUR plus 20 EUR for every started hour past the agreed time. If you see it coming, tell us and ask to extend the hire; on Cyprus time we reply from 08:00 until 23:00.

The rate covers third-party liability and 24/7 roadside help. Damage to the machine is covered only by the optional waiver (15 EUR a day per buggy, 300 EUR excess), for eligible bodywork; glass, keys, the interior, tyres, the underbody and anything off the asphalt are excluded.

Tell us your party and your dates

We reply with a yes or a question, and nothing is set aside before that. Then we agree the route in writing, and you pay when you collect.
